How long does it take a women to conceive after getting off birthcontrol?

1 doctor answer
Dr. William Jurewitz
Specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Depends: It depends on the birth control method. It may take 9-12 months to resume normal cycles after stopping DepoProvera! For most other methods, such as pills, patch, ring, IUDs, your regular cycles should return within one cycle, or one month. Most couples will conceive within 5-8 months of trying.
