Can you please explain to me how aortic coarctation can cause nothing of the ribs?

Notching: Notching. Because blood can't reach the left arm and lower body, the intercostal arteries (which run between the ribs) enlarge to bypass the area of blockage. Over time, this interferes with rib growth causing notches.
