Shouldn't: The timing of ovulation is not known to affect the extent of bleeding in a specific cycle. Your cycles can vary over time and from month to month.

Late ovulation: I suppose anything is possible, but there is no direct cause-and-effect relation between timing of ovulation and how heavy a period is.
