Tough: These are tough to treat. For mild cases, I have patients rest for 6-8 weeks, use a sling for 4-6, NSAIDs as needed for pain, As the pain subsides, I have them start physical therapy to strengthen and stretch the chest and rotator cuff muscles as well as the scapular stabilizers. Ultimately, if pain persists or there is persistent subluxation, they may need surgical fixation.
