Yes: You may need an adjustment in dose. Let your doctor know all the symptoms (anxiety, easy to loose temper, depression, whatever you are feeling) That will help in making a decision with which way to go. Sometimes women just need to uses other forms of contraception. Sometime this problem is due to the unmaking of an underlying inherited mood or anxiety disorder.

Yes!: Emotional side effects, irritability, mood swings are all common side effects of the pill. They should dissipate over the first 3 months of use, but if they don't improve, ask your doctor for a pill that contains a different progestin. Good luck!

Usually not: I assume you mean the pill when you say "birth control". to be clear there are many types of "birth control" or contraception, There is the Depo shot, the Nuva Ring, IUDs, Nexplanon, and many different types of pills. None of these however should make you anxious. is there something that you are worried about in your life?
