No: Unfortunately as a minor your parents can still be told about your medical history. However, this should not stop you from seeking medical care. Its possible to discuss things with your doctor and ask them to not just give the information but only give the information when specifically asked.

Depends: In my office I give parents the option of allowing the kid >12 to be seen alone, with written authorization. The kid is free to have a personal discussion, which can be about sex,development or other sensitive issues. I tell them this can remain confidential unless they express ideas about self harm or hurting others.insurance documents often list diagnosis that will be sent to the parents
