One of the chemicals: in marijuana seems to be more responsible for its effects of reducing nausea - cannabidiol (rather than the THC). There is an area in the midbrain called the chemoreceptor trigger zone which has lots of endocannabinoid receptors, and cannabidiol seems to quiet this area down.
