A member asked:

What to do if i have the infection, so is the medication called "polytrim" the correct eyedrops to use?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Polytrim (polymyxin b and trimethoprim) good: Polytrim (polymyxin b and trimethoprim) is a good broad spectrum antibiotic drop and should help a bacterial infection. Most conjunctivitis or pink eye is viral so the Polytrim (polymyxin b and trimethoprim) would help only is there is an overlying bacterial conjunctivitis which can happen.
