A member asked:

How much time does it take for chickenpox to go away?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cabin fever: The chickenpox is considered contagious from 24-48 hours before the onset of the rash until the last new blister is dried out.Generally this is 6-7 days after eruption. A trip outside would probably be fine if those you are in contact with have had cpx in the past or the vaccine. Your skin will be more sensative to sunlight for a while so take precautions.
