A DAY: CLINICALLY MOST FORMS OF DEXTROAMPHETAMINE WILL BE OUT OF YOUR SYSTEM A DAY LATER. THE FACT THAT YOU ASK MAKES ME SUSPECT YOU'VE HAD AN EXPERIENCE YOU SHOULD SHARE WITH YOUR DOCTOR. IF YOU'RE JUST WORRIED ABOUT IT, YOU SHOULD SHARE THAT TOO. IF YOU WERE MY PATIENT, I'D LIKE TO KNOW WHAT CONCERNS YOU.

It varies with the : delivery system. Duration of action of Vyvanse, or lisdexamfetamine, is 12-14 hours in adults; Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine), (dextroamphetamine) 4-5 hrs.; Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) Spansules, 6-10hrs. Onset, peak & duration of action differ based on how rapidly one metabolizes & excretes the drug. A single long-acting dose makes a urine drug screen + for amphetamines for 2-3 days. Increasing the dose may increase duration of action & side effects.
