It is possible: Any extreme weight change in either direction can affect your period. Sometimes these changes are based in emotional causes which also affect women's' cycles. Worries about this can make things even more complicated. However, before you make any assumptions about cause, make sure to see your gynecologist and have them check you out. If all is ok, you may want to look into the cause of gaining
