I have a rash behind my ear. its been there awhile. its red, painful and it has like scaley scabs and it leaks clear sticky fluid. it also burns.

Skin infection : It sounds like impetigo. Clean the area with soap and water regularly and use some antibiotic cream or ointment. If it persists after doing that for a couple of says, then see a physician for an evaluation and probably stronger antibiotics. Avoid putting your hair behind your ears until healed.

Rash: The rash behind your ears was probably originally seborrhoic dermatitis, but because of your scratching the itchy skin it became secondarily infected. Use an antibiotic ointment to combat the infection and then try using Nizoral (ketoconazole) shampoo 1 percent over the counter to treat the seborrhoa
