Probably: Best try generic oxybutinin ER 1st, works as well as Ditropan for most people. 3 strenghts, 5, 10 & 15 mg tablets. Adults need to start with 10 mg and increase to 20 mg or more 2 weekly till effect. Side effects (SE) include thirst, skin flushng & constipation. Some experience blurred vision. Aternative probantheline bromide, has similar SE. Detrol (tolterodine) LA does not cross to brain, thus no blurring.

Glycopyrrolate: In my large hyperhidrosis practice, I find the best oral anticholinergic medications to be glycopyrrolate and oxybutinin, in that order. The Center for Excessive Sweating was established in 1999.
