Occurs all the time: Ovulation always precedes the next menses normally. An example would be a post partum mom who is sexually active but not using contraception and gets pregnant without a period.

Yes.: I am guessing you mean after having a baby? An ovulation comes before the period, so it is possible that if your system is being 'reset, ' you could ovulate without knowing it. This makes contracption really critical if you are not wanting to get pregnant. Always assuming you can become pregnant will keep you safer!
