No real studies: Unfortunately, most of the supplements are not approved by the FDA and there are no definitive studies to prove that they are effective when comparing to placebo. Proceed with caution and use your best judgement if you are interested in taking them.

OTC diet medications: are not generally effective. A bariatric doctor can help if you want to use meds. In any case, lifestyle changes are way make the difference. We are all built differently so please don't get into self blame. You can turn fat into muscle and be healthy and well toned. Peace and good health. Many folks these days have metabolic syndrome. See Mark Hyman's book about this.
