Acid reflux: Acid reflux is acid from the stomach going up the esophagus and causing pain from irritation. Usually diet is the most common cause of acid reflux. Avoid excessive alcohol, caffeine, nicotine. Try not to lay down after eating. Weigh loss and avoiding tight constricting garments will also help. Recurrent or persistent abdominal pain or reflux should be evaluated by your doctor.
