See details: A 10 mm test is a positive result. Ask your doctor to order a Quantiferon Gold TB blood test. If this test is positive, you have been exposed to TB.

Positive PPD: A +ve PPD is usually evaluated with a plain Chest Xray. If that is normal, and if it appears that the positive PPD is new (if there is a history of previous negative tests) then a course of treatment with anti-tuberculosis antibiotics is usually given, this prevents you from getting sick with TB. Sometimes a borderline (intermediate) test result can be from a prior BCG vaccination.
