No and No.: Both will make dandruff (technical name: seborrheic dermatitis) worse. Try an over-the-counter dandruff shampoo containing tar, salicylic acid, selenium sulfide, or zinc pyrithione, but keep it out of your eyes. If that doesn't work, a dermatologist can give you a prescription-strength shampoo and a lotion or foam.
