Let them lead: A great way to be friends with kids with any disabling condition is to let them be the leader. SO much of their lives are spent with people telling them do this or that, or don't do this or that. Let them pick what to do, even if it's not one of your favorite things, and then do it with joy with them. Keep things simple. They also love tactile communication, so lots of hugs and high fives!
