This is not normal: Really bad headaches for months is a good reason to see your doctor. While you are waiting for your appointment go ahead and start keeping ajournal of the circumstances of the headaches. When do they come on? What trigger them? What other symptoms occur? Does advil or tylenol (acetaminophen) help even a little bit? Any allergy or sinus symptoms? Taking that information to your doctor helps a lot.

Do not want to guess: The answer depends on what kind of headache you have. If this is not known, then any answer would just be a guess. Headaches that occur every day, for months, are best treated by a headache specialist. for example- what if you have hemicrania? This is one cause that is very sensitive to an inexpensive medicine called indomethacin, that might be something to try.
