Maybe diet.: Many folks with fecal continence issues can achieve significant improvement without surgery. Foods most likely to cause episodic incontinence or urgency are: milk/milk products (except yogurt), fruits/juices (except bananas), salads/leafy greens, caffeine/chocolate, artificial sweeteners. Cut back on these by half; add a psyllium fiber supplement daily. Drink water. For more help see your doctor.
