Smokers: Patients at risk for bladder cancer include smokers, people who work with certain chemicals called benzene compounds or dyes, or a certain type of bladder infection found in the middle east. One may also develop bladder cancer even in the absence of risk factors.

Smokers: Smokers by far are the largest risk group in this country. Other risks groups include aniline dye and tire workers and possibly patients who have received prior pelvic radiation (excuse the alliteration).
