Reevaluation needed: You should seek a re-evaluation of your type of incontinence by the treating surgeon. Urge incontinence (leakage with the "gotta go" feeling) is not treated by a sling, and you may need a different type of treatment for it. Stress incontinence (leakage with cough/lifting/laughing/sneeze) is treated with a sling. If your surgery was unsuccessful, you will need to be reevaluated by your doctor.

Consult a urogyn or: urologist who is experienced with these situations. Initial sling surgery is not always effective, but that does not mean that you dont have any options.
