Reason?: Why did you have the ultrasound? Do you have a positive pregnancy test? In that case an ultrasound should show a sac in the uterus. If you are not pregnant, the thickness of the lining varies by time in the cycle. During the first half of the cycle the lining is thin. After ovulation it becomes thicker, until menses, when it is shed.

Pregnancy teset: A hPT is always cheaper and (early on) more reliable for checking pregnancy than ultrasound. Ultrasound cannot show a pregnancy at all for up to about a month after conception..
