Rest: Ice for first 2-3 days. Wrap leg with an ace wrap. Heel lift can take off tension and ease pain Avoid massage initially. After 1-2 weeks can start mild stretching program. May take unto 6 weeks to heal. Warm up before using muscle again

First 72 hrs,ice 20: 20min every 4hrs, then alternate heat with ice.Gentle stretching, not min q 4 hrs, gentle stretch, no bouncing.Antiinflamatories or Tylenol (acetaminophen) ok for pain.Resume walking slowly, always gently warm up, stationary bike is good.If not slowly improving over 2 wks, or have a set back, see ur doc.
