Balanced diet: Try to have a protein and some dairy at each meal, along with vegetables and fruit. Avoid large portions of starch and avoid sugar and processed food. More calories are used up than when not breastfeeding, so if you can eat regularly and sensibly and avoid snacking on junk and sugary foods, you will have a very good chance of losing weight.

Fruits and veggies: Try lots of fresh salads and fruits. The fiber will help keep you full. Have salmon twice a week. Keep lean meats in the fridge for extra protein. Whole grain breads with 3 g fiber per slice. Then don't forget your water, fill a pitcher and drink a glass every time you sit down to nurse the baby. Good luck, breastfeeding will help you get back to goal weight!
