Polyhydramnios: Most mild cases of polyhydramnios can be observed and just followed with increased testing. Most of time, all goes well. Treating maternal diabetes, if that is the cause, can also improve the polyhydramnios. In severe cases, medication or drainage of some of the fluid may be indicated.
