After late period: The most accurate time to take a pregnancy test is after missing your period. However, in some women it may be best 5 days after missing period. So if first test negative after missing period repeat in a few days is still no period. Pregnancy symptoms don't usually start until 6-8 weeks into pregnancy.

Agree w Dr. Amawi: test after missed period. Usually none but could have breast swelling & tenderness, food aversions, nausea. Other sx's that occur in pregnancy include: darkened areolas, thin, white & milky vaginal discharge, fatigue, ^ urination frequency, constipation, bloating, heartburn, backache, cramping, headache, food cravings, ^ sense of smell, enlarged waist, feeling faint/dizzy, mood swings,^ gas,.
