No: Not really good or bad--nearly all adults have positive antibodies to herpes (HSV) and most of that is HSV 1--this is the virus that causes oral cold sores mostly, though can cause genital lesions. HSV 2 usually causes genital herpes--lesions in the genital area--but can cause oral herpes too. Being negative for HSV 2 just means you've never had that type of herpes. \.
