A few ideas : Mucus is something that's a normal production of the tissues in the vagina and of the cervix. Sometimes there can be excess mucus due to the nabothian cyst in the cervix which produce copious amounts of mucus. In and of itself, mucus isn't a sign of something ominous. You could get an exam to make sure everything looks okay and possibly get tested if any chance of STD exposure
