Hepatitis B: Interferon Alfa 2B can be used for treatment of CHRONIC hepatitis B. It is not for acute Hepatitis B which often resolves spontaneously. The dose for chronic hep B is 10 mill units subcutaneous or IM shot 3times/week for 16 weeks, or 5 mill units daily for 16 wk. get with your doctor to see if you have the chronic form of hepatitis. Good luck!
