Ask your Dr(s): The doctor(s) who diagnosed the cancer and/or the perforated bowel can provide the most accurate prognosis. Anyone else is less knowledgeable about the specific case - and that is what matters. Cancer of the esophagus is never a good thing to hear. Some are able to extend the quality of their time if they are lucky and have caring folk helping. Accurate hospice info may help too.
