Pls see pediatrician: Routinely in all 50 state of the us , we check for metabolic screen for all babies once after 24 hours after birth and again in the 2nd week if metabolic screen is normal, do not worry about the rare metabolic diseases like phenylketonurea or maple syrup urine disease please check with your pediatrician.
