Reasons: for missed/late periods: low body weight, obesity, marked weight ^ or v, over-exercise, endurance athletics,^ stress, illness, eating disorders (bulimia or anorexia), anovulatory cycle (no egg released), travel, hormone irregularities, drug use, meds (i.e., birth control) or medical problems (i.e. PCOS). I would get checked if you miss period x 3 months (or sooner if desired).

Many causes : There are many causes for late/missed periods besides pregnancy. Often girls will be irregular when periods first start. Also stress, illness, weight changes, dieting, exercise, or medications can affect your periods. If you have always been regular and have missed 2 months you should be checked. Good luck!
