X-linked or recesiv: The transmission of albinism will depend on the form involved. A male may have an x-linked or autosomal recessive(ar) form. A female is most likely to have the recessive form. A male would not pass it to his sons but could pass the carrier state to his unaffected daughters who might pass it to her sons. The ar albino only passes a carrier state unless the spouse carries the ar gene.
