Usually breakthrough: Sometimes the pill is not absorbed well enough or the pill is not strong enough or your body makes too much estrogen . This results in breakthrough bleeding. Unusual to get pregnant , but if you have abnormal bleeding on the pill to take a home pregnancy test is always a good idea.
