STOP AND TEST!: Hi. I have to assume you're a diabetic on drugs that can cause hypoglycemia. You could kill yourself or others driving with hypoglycemia. Check your BG before you get in the car, and pull over and test anytime you think you might be low. The life you save may be your own! I get most of my patients on insulin on a continuous glucose monitor (Dexcom G4 Platinum...great device!)...makes driving safer

Driving: If you have any concerns about a low sugar while driving you need to pull over and check your blood sugar. That means you must have your blood sugar meter etc. with you and, if your sugar is low you must have something to increase it. It is a pain to have that stuff in your car but absolutely essential!
