Brain stimulator??: If your hand shaking is from essential tremor (an inherited disorder that would be present in one of your parents) and the tremor interferes with your performance of important activities (such as drinking from a cup, eating in public, writing, putting on make-up, using a computer, etc), then a deep brain stimulator (dbs) could be extremely beneficial. Consultation w the right doc could tell you.
Dr. Daniel Owens
Family Medicine 17 years experience
There are numerous causes of tremor. Essential tremor is a common cause, but this could also be due to medications and other conditions including Parkison's disease. Consult with your PCP.
