A member asked:

How soon after a mild stroke can a person begin regular physical activity?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Slow and steady: After a stroke, activity should begin slowly- understanding that recovery is a marathon and not a sprint. Physical therapy, walking, and slow purposeful increases in activity with avoidance of strenuous exercise is best. Ask a local physical medicine/rehab md for the best timing and exercise regiment for your family member with their stroke.
