Should be protected: If your intercourse was during the month you were off of the birth control, then you have reason to be concerned about pregnancy. If the sexual encounter was recent, and you have been back on the contraception for over a month, taking it daily and correctly, then you have little to be concerned about. Remember, though, that the pill still has a 1-2% fail rate every year. Also protect against std's.
