Study needed: Data still remains to be gathered about its causation of breast cancer, disruption of the endocrine system which is very involved in the growth of breast cancer could be increased in frequency with continued use of triclosan.

Unrelated: Triclosan is an ingredient used in products like antibacterial soaps and toothpaste. Its been around for 40 years and may have side effects related to changing hormone patterns. For the most part breast cancer is inherited in about 5% of patients and is probably caused or associated with viral entry into the breast duct wnt-1 gene in about 80% of patients via the mmtv virus.
