A member asked:

I have anemia and my doctor prescribed me these chewable tablets of oral iron but what i'll like to know if these tablets will make me gain weight?

Most likely not: Iron supplementation for anemia will not cause weight gain. Your body will actually function/metabolize better when you are not anemic.

No: Oral iron tablets will not make you gain weight. If anything- with improved blood count you might have more energy which could help with weight control and even weight loss.
