3TC (lamivudine) is an NRTI: 3tc, also known as Epivir or lamivudine, is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (or nrti) often used in the treatment of HIV and/or hepatitis b. It is a drug that is very well-tolerated and effective in the treatment of both HIV and hepatitis b. The side effects are minimal, if any.
