It happens: If you had a negative blood test done for pregnancy than multiple things can cause you to miss your cycle for 2 mths. . Have you recently started or stopped birth control? Have you had rapid weight change? If you have to much weight loss you will not have a period. Has there been an extreme amount of stress on you?, that will stop your cycle. Recent infection?

Not ovulating: You may have stopped ovulating. There are lots of reasons women can develop a problem with ovulation. Thyroid problems, weight gain, high prolactin hormone levels, pregnancy). I would get a blood test to make certain you are not pregnant. Severe stress can also temporarily stop a woman from ovulating. Some women with mild PCOS can ovulate at a lower weight but with weight gain they stop.
