Not 100% effective: Even when used correctly, condoms are not 100 % effective in preventing pregnancy. That being said, there are other causes of irregular periods such as low thyroid, high prolactin levels, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and endometriosis. A pregnancy test would be a good first step to figuring out the cause.

Condoms: It is possible that you are pregnant and you should get a pregnancy test. There are other reasons for missing a period, especially stress. Condoms are better than nothing, but they do have a high failure rate compared to other birth control measures...Even if the condom doesn't break.

Complicated answer: I'm glad you are being wise and having protected sex. Women's cycles vary for different reasons, like genetics, stress, hormone levels, dietary factors. If a few months have passed and you have not had a menstrual period, consider seeing a physician as you will need an exam and possibly blood work to determine the source of the irregularity.
