YES TO OIL PULLING: Oil pulling, also known as "kavala" or "gundusha," is an ancient Ayurvedic dental technique that involves swishing a tablespoon of oil (coconut preferred) in your mouth on an empty stomach for around 20 minutes. Since our office went "holistic friendly", the patients who have tried it love it. Their mouths feel cleaner, teeth look whiter. If its a gimmick its not hurting anyone but the gaggers.

NO, See a dentist: Here's the bottom line, oil pulling does not reverse the effects of tooth decay, and it's important that patients are made fully aware of that. See a dentist for evaluation and treatment. If not treated, tooth decay can cause pain, infection, and tooth loss. Take care.
