Fine tune your diet: Almost all pregnant women need to get more protein, more of certain vitamins and minerals such as Folic Acid and iron, and more calories (for energy). Skip sushi, soft cheeses and alcohol. Start taking a prenatal vitamin. Gain weight gradually and eat frequent, smaller meals if you like. Keep a healthy diet and in good communication with your obstetrician.
