Skeletal deformity: See pediatric ortho surgeon- have full length hip to ankle x-ray done- see what degree valgus (knock-kneed) she is ; what bones (femur/tibia) are involved. If flat-footed, consider arch supports/ comfortable sneakers to obtain some moderate immediate relief. If she has significant deformity, limited corrective surgery with "guided growth" may be feasible. Also, need good control of jra w rheum.
