Anything is possible: The rhythm method is difficult for some women to use to plan their pregnancies or lack thereof as many women's cycle changes unexpectedly due to stress, weight changes, or fluctuating levels of hormones. So yes, implantation could happen. Pregnancy spotting is also not a sure sign; many women are pregnant without noticing any implantation bleeding.
