Belly-button pain: Belly-button (umbilical) pain may originate locally due to infection or herniation, or be "referred" from another abdominal location like the appendix. Signs/symptoms of concern include: local redness ; drainage, umbilical bulging that can't be reduced with gentle pressure, fever, vomiting, change in bowels, generalized abdominal tenderness (suggests peritonitis), worsening pain. Get checked.

Anthing: Without seeing this, it could be infectious, allergic, a contact dermatitis, or other not so good things. This, if it fails to go away quickly or gets any worse, should be seen by a doctor and a more specific diagnosis established.

Many possibilities: Pain around the belly button can result from a local issue, like a hernia, or from things arising from inside the abdomen, including inflammation of part of the GI tract, like the small bowel or appendix. Things like a viral gastroenteritis (aka "stomach flu"), bacterial infection from appendicitis, obstruction, pancreatitis, gastritis and ulcer disease can be causes. Best to get checked out.
